Privacy policy

What we collect

• One cookie. A session cookie named __Host-trials_admin, set only when a site administrator signs in. It holds a signed expiry timestamp and nothing else — no identity, no profile. If you are not an administrator, this cookie is never set for you.
• A dismissal cookie. If you dismiss the cookie notice, we store xm_notice_ack so the notice stays dismissed. It contains the single value 1.
• Server logs. Our web server records requests in the ordinary way — IP address, timestamp, path, user agent, response status. These are operational records used to keep the service running and to investigate faults.

What we do not collect

• No analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no page-view beacons, no session recording, no heatmaps.
• No advertising or third-party tracking cookies. No pixels, no remarketing tags, no social widgets.
• No accounts, sign-ups, newsletters or mailing lists — public accounts are not part of this deployment.
• No health information about you. There is no facility to upload a medical document or record a diagnosis, so none exists.
• No payment information. Nothing here is for sale.

The site’s Content-Security-Policy blocks requests to any external host, so your browser does not contact a third party while you read these pages. That is enforced by the server, not merely promised here.

Where the trial data comes from

Every study record is published by a public clinical trial registry and is already public information. It describes studies and their sponsors and investigators — not visitors to this site. Where a record lists a contact name, telephone number or email address, that is the registry’s own published contact for the study, reproduced as published. See where this data comes from for which registries feed the site and what the known gaps are.

Not medical advice

This site is an index of registry records. It does not diagnose, does not recommend treatment, and does not tell you whether you are eligible for a study. Whether a study is appropriate for you is a decision for you and your own clinician, and eligibility is determined only by the study team.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about visitors beyond server logs and the cookies described above, there is normally nothing to export or erase. If you believe we hold information about you and want it removed, or you want a copy of it, write to us and we will act on it. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

When this deployment gains accounts, document upload or matching, this page will be rewritten before those features are switched on, and the version above will change. We will not quietly broaden what we collect under an unchanged policy.
